The omelet bar was stocked, the grits were hot, masks donned, and the cutest little green coffee truck you have ever seen sat at the end of a socially distanced line of buzzing wedding quests. It was a 2020 Saturday morning, but this one met with the happiest of sights—newlyweds, hand-in-hand, running into their reception to celebrate with family and friends. It was the wedding day of Dallace and Dustin.
These two were so excited to get married! And I’m sure that sounds like an obvious statement, but this was the kind of wedding day where you knew, if all the little details magically went away, there would still be the biggest smiles from our Mr. and Mrs. Nothing else mattered to them. As a girl who loves those little details however, this day was chocked full of them. The brunch menu, the paper suite, the glitter Keds to wrap up the Bride’s own hashtag chronicled story—even the hand written vows full of a sentiment I’ve only seen in the tested and true marriages of our grandparents—all unfolded before me. It felt that all I had to do was be there.
